Helena Pacitti, Academic Director, SciConnect, UNSW

Dr. Helena Pacitti is an award-winning Education Focussed Lecturer and Nexus Fellow in the School of Psychology, and Director of SciConnect in the Faculty of Science at UNSW Sydney. Helena's evidence-based teaching practice and innovations focus on developing Self-Regulated Learning (SRL) skills in undergraduates, which has improved student engagement and academic performance in online learning environments. Drawing from her research background in cognitive and behavioral psychology, she designs courses that create inclusive learning experiences for diverse student populations that empower students to become autonomous lifelong learners. Through her teaching and research collaborations, Helena's work focuses on how educational technology can create meangingful learning experiences that prepare students for success in our rapidly evolving digital landscape.
