Fiona Young is an architect and researcher in the field of learning environments. She is currently a PhD candidate as part of the Innovative Learning Environments and Teacher Change (ILETC) project, Learning Environments Applied Research Network (LEaRN), University of Melbourne. As Studio Director at Hayball in Sydney, her focus is on Education and GLAM (Galleries, Libraries, Archives, Museums) sector projects. Core to her role is enhancing learning opportunities through design and interpreting and bridging understanding between educators and architectural teams. Fiona is a sitting member of the Government Architect NSW (GANSW) State Design Review Panel. She is a past Chair of the NSW Chapter of the Association for Learning Environments and has held various roles within the organisation at the chapter, regional and global levels. Fiona regularly contributes to education and design publications and invited to speak at industry conferences.
