Robert Fox, Chair, Digital Economy/ ICT Group, Joint Foreign Chambers of Commerce in Thailand (JFCCT)

Bob Fox is an experienced senior executive, lawyer and consultant with global and regional management roles, SME and start-up experience. He is a director of the Singapore-Thai Chamber and a member of the Supervisory Board of EU-ASEAN Business Council. He also has a regional consulting business in trade and investment.

As Chair of the Digital Economy/ICT Committee of JFCCT and JFCCT Policy Co-ordinator, Bob has curated, produced, and moderated five AI-related seminars or forums, in particular AI in Education for business and education communities in Thailand and Singapore in November 2024 and Innovation Unleased in September 2025.

With Baker McKenzie for some years (mainly joint ventures, foreign investment), he has also had general counsel roles. He was project director and main board (University Council) member for Bond University in Australia (now in its 36th year), and CEO of an award-winning, high-end mail order business (pre-internet).

He has had a long-held belief in the value of a quality education, developing enquiring minds, fostering curiosity and developing and acquiring soft skills such as critical thinking, team-based problem solving, and determination. He has had a long career in telecoms, digital services, technology development and trade and investment, cutting his teeth on new market entry with the necessary innovative solutions, crafted to gain market share.

In Thailand or the region he has devised and developed policy recommendations on many areas and has been engaged on several development projects or strategies, including competitiveness, higher education, R&D, innovation, digital skills, digitalisation, AI, entrepreneurship, Rule of Law, services liberalisation (including welcoming foreign universities), participation in the EU-ASEAN SCOPE HE (Higher Education) programmes, digital skills & soft skills through a project with OVEC, digital government, cross border payments, Guillotine reform, and Climate Change (‘Net Zero with Integrity’)

He has been on the judging panel for three years (2023-2025) of Sasin’s Bangkok Business Challenge, a frequent speaker, moderator, author and occasional university lecturer.

BA LLB (UNSW) admitted in four jurisdictions, Master's - Stanford University Graduate School of Business (Sloan Fellow); ICT, stock exchange and listed director certifications. THAC certified mediator; AFS scholar.
