Lynn Fong, Director, Centre for Learning & Teaching Excellence, Ngee Ann Polytechnic

Lynn is a progressive educator with over 20 years of experience in teaching, training, and educational leadership. She currently serves as Director of the Centre for Learning & Teaching Excellence (CLTE) at Ngee Ann Polytechnic (NP), where she provides strategic leadership in educational development, education technology, and academic quality. At CLTE, she works with academic schools to advance institutional teaching and learning initiatives, drives the effective integration of education technology to enhance learning experiences and outcomes, oversees learning analytics and data use, and develops faculty capability through research and inquiry. Previously, Lynn was Director of the School of Humanities & Social Sciences (HMS), leading six full-time and three part-time diplomas, over 20 short courses, and a student population of more than 2,000. She strengthened teaching and learning frameworks, advanced technology-enabled learning, and built the pedagogical capacity of over 80 academic staff. Earlier, as Founding Course Chair of the Diploma in Arts Business Management, she pioneered experiential learning in the arts, mentoring students to conceptualise community programmes and launch the flagship Verve arts festival. An award-winning lecturer, Lynn has taught widely across modules such as Arts, Culture & Society, Creative Arts Management, and Children’s Literature. She received the NP School Teaching Award (2010, 2014) and the NP Academic Development Award (Platinum) in 2016. She holds a BA (English Language & Political Science) from National University of Singapore, an MA (Children’s Literature) from the University of Reading, an MA (Instructional Design & Technology), and a Postgraduate Diploma in Education from National Institute of Education, Nanyang Technological University.
