Joanoreen Ruth M. Almeda, fondly known as Wano, is a passionate educator and leader currently serving as the Cluster Head for Junior High School at Miriam College Nuvali, where she also teaches Sciences. Alongside her leadership and teaching roles, she actively represents the institution as a member of the Miriam College Research Council. She completed her Master’s Degree in Education, specializing in Biological Sciences, at the Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Maynila in 2023. Wano is currently in the final stage of completing her Doctorate in Curriculum and Teaching at Miriam College. With a strong interest in curriculum development and instructional methodologies, her research focuses on advancing academic excellence, culminating in two (2) publications under LEAPS through Philippine e-Journals. Beyond her institutional commitments, Wano extends her expertise as a Science Consultant for the Knowledge Channel Foundation, Inc., a non-profit organization dedicated to empowering Filipino communities through education. In this role, she contributes to the development of Science episodes that explore intermediate Science concepts, with a particular emphasis on the environment and environmental protection.
