Redefining Early Education Through Vision and Play Mr. Jery Yeoh Hooi Seng is the Founder and Executive Director of WhyteHouse Education Group, and the visionary behind We.Play, Malaysia’s pioneering unstructured play platform. A graduate in Sociology and Anthropology from Universiti Sains Malaysia, Jery launched his first preschool in 2009 with just three children. Today, his initiative has grown to encompass four branches, including a kindergarten located inside a science centre and two expansive, purpose-built unstructured playgrounds in Penang, offering over 10,000 sq ft of playful, open-ended discovery. Most notably, he has also developed a 70,000 sq ft preschool campus in Penang — setting a new benchmark for play environments designed for children and families in the region. As a certified John Maxwell coach and speaker, Jery leads curriculum design, educator training, and community outreach across Malaysia, Indonesia, and Thailand. He has also served as a MICCI Northern Region Committee member and Penang Public Library Board director, contributing his insights on education, civic engagement, and sustainable community. Through his work, Jery champions a powerful idea: children flourish when they are trusted to lead their own play — a belief reflected in WhyteHouse’s success with We.Play and its ongoing push for play-based, inquiry-driven learning.
