Dr. Chandrima Chatterjee is a Senior Lecturer at the Singapore University of Technology and Design (SUTD), specializing in biophysical chemistry. At SUTD, she has taught a variety of courses, with sustainability and healthcare being her key areas of focus. She advocates for active learning pedagogy at SUTD and has implemented various innovative teaching strategies, including cutting-edge technologies, in her courses over the years. In recognition of her efforts, she was awarded the “Outstanding Education Award for Excellence in Teaching” by SUTD in 2019 and "Best Cross-Functional Team Award" in 2023 for facilitating a STEM-based Immersion Workshop targeted towards secondary school students in Singapore. Furthermore, she has been recognized internationally as a Fellow by Advanced Higher Education in the UK. Dr. Chatterjee is also actively involved in transdisciplinary design projects and has developed STEM-based sustainability projects for Junior Colleges in Singapore, aiming to inspire the next generation to solve real-world problems. As a speaker at EDUtech Asia 2025, Chandrima will share her insights on how sustainbility education can be integrated into the undergraduate curriculum. She will discuss how innovative teaching practices can help foster critical thinking, creativity, and problem-solving skills among her students, thereby better preparing them to meet the challenges of the future.
