Renata Varnaite, PhD, is a field application specialist at Mabtech, a Swedish biotech company specializing in monoclonal antibody development, immunoassays, and advanced ELISpot and FluoroSpot instruments. Before joining Mabtech, Renata completed her PhD at Karolinska Institutet, Sweden and her master’s at the University of St Andrews, Scotland. During her PhD she employed advanced flow cytometry and FluoroSpot assays to assess human adaptive immune responses towards vaccines and viral infections including COVID-19, tick-borne encephalitis, and dengue. In her current role, Renata combines her research background in immunology and extensive experience using FluoroSpot in helping scientists to effectively utilize immunoassays for their research needs.
