Marwah Karim, Postdoctoral Scholar, Stanford University School of Medicine (USA)

Marwah Karim, Ph.D., is a postdoctoral fellow at Professor Shirit Einav’s lab at Stanford University School of Medicine. Prior to joining the Einav lab, she completed her Bachelor of Science degree in genetic engineering and biotechnology at the University of Dhaka, Bangladesh, then earned her research master's degree from Erasmus University, the Netherlands, and a doctoral degree in virology from Institut Pasteur, France. Her interest lies in understanding the role of virus-host interactions in viral infection, particularly, how cellular kinases regulate multiple RNA virus infections and their pathogenesis. She is highly motivated to translate her discoveries into broad-spectrum antiviral approaches for combating SARS-CoV-2 and other emerging viral infections.
