Younbeen Kim is a pharmacist and life science executive with over 25 years of experience in the
pharmaceutical industry, venture investment, and global health R&D. She previously served as
Head of Research Operations & Global Partnerships at the Novartis Institute for Tropical
Diseases in Singapore, where she led an extensive network of external research and funding
partners. More recently, she was the founding CEO of the RIGHT Fund, Korea’s first global health
R&D financing mechanism established in partnership with the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation
and the Ministry of Health & Welfare, the Republic of Korea. Since 2024, she has been Project
Manager of the K-Health MIRAE Initiative, Korea’s ARPA-H–inspired national program, where
she designs and oversees mission-driven R&D projects to tackle intractable and unmet medical
needs. Her expertise spans pharmaceutical innovation, international partnerships, and the
establishment of mission-oriented R&D platforms.
