Dr. Sanjib Banerjee, currently serving as Chief Operating Officer of Veeda Lifesciences (Biopharma), has successfully established Veeda’s Biopharma Lab and other resources in Bengaluru (India). The Biopharma division of Veeda is catering global clientele as a Centre of Excellence for their analytical and serological characterization of complex biologics. Sanjib Banerjee, Ph.D. is a Cell Biologist and Immunologist with 20+ years of research and industrial experience in Analytical and Bioanalytical characterization of novel biologics, biosimilars and vaccines. He has been instrumental in establishing best-in-class regulated laboratories for immunological and serological characterization of biosimilars and vaccines across the industry. He has been in a technical leadership role in vaccine immunology and clinical serology-based research for regulatory submissions and CRO management of clinical and preclinical studies for multiple bacterial and viral vaccines. He spearheaded many vaccine projects (in-vivo, ex-vivo, in-silico and in-vitro) for Indian and Global clients both as a collaborator, as well as a service provider. Sanjib has postdoctoral experience on cell and molecular biology of oncology/aging-related diseases in humans (Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology, University of Texas), and in Tumor Immunology and Biomarker Identification (Department of Surgery, University of Rochester, NY) after completing his PhD in Microbial Epigenetics/Biophysics from the Indian Institute of Chemical Biology, Kolkata.
