Ombline Richard is Head of Policy at Gavi, the Vaccine Alliance, where she helps shape policy approaches that support equitable access to life-saving vaccines worldwide. Her work sits at the intersection of global health, immunisation policy, financing and strategic partnership, contributing to efforts to strengthen vaccine delivery and improve health outcomes in lower-income countries.
At World Vaccine Congress Europe 2026, Ombline will bring a policy perspective on the evolving global vaccine landscape, including the importance of collaboration among governments, manufacturers, funders, civil society and implementing partners to advance sustainable and resilient immunisation programmes.
The session will present the results of a recent WHO-PATH effort to develop a systematic framework for prioritizing pediatric combination vaccines, and the priority vaccines that have emerged. Through an interactive panel discussion with active audience participation, the session will explore practical pathways for translating these priorities into vaccines that are developed, licensed, introduced and used at scale.
