Merijn Salverda has been working as a scientist bacterial vaccines at Intravacc for more than a decade. He obtained his PhD at Wageningen University in the Netherlands, stuyding the experimental evolution of antibiotic resistance. At Intravacc, his work has focussed on the genetic engineering of diverse bacterial pathogens (Neisseria meningitidis, Neisseria gonorrhoeae, Bordetella pertussis) for the production of safe and effective Outer Membrane Vesicle (OMV) vaccines, as well as the expression of heterologous antigens on OMVs.
