Holger Hannemann, Director of R&D, Antigens and Reagents, The Native Antigen Company

Holger Hannemann has worked in the field of infectious diseases since 2006. After completing his training in molecular mycology at the University of Erlangen, he held a number of academic research positions focused on host–pathogen interactions, with particular emphasis on human cytomegalovirus and dengue virus. In 2012, he joined The Native Antigen Company, where he led the development of advanced recombinant expression technologies to create a comprehensive portfolio of complex infectious disease reagents, including virus-like particles and oligomerically stabilized protein complexes. Following The Native Antigen Company’s acquisition by LGC in 2020, Holger assumed leadership of the Proteins and Reagents R&D team. In this role, he oversees new product innovation as well as custom product development and manufacturing, supporting the advancement of high-quality reagents for research, diagnostic, and vaccine development applications.
