Blerina is Chief Scientific Officer at LEON-nanodrugs GmbH in Munich, where she drives scientific and technology strategy for the company's nanoparticle manufacturing platform. A drug-product development leader specializing in LNPs and other parenteral nanoparticle systems, she has expertise in formulation, process development, and technology transfer, with recent work focused on the robustness and scalability of mRNA-LNP manufacturing. Since joining LEON in 2022, she has focused on building the company's particle science and formulation capabilities, and previously worked on RNA-based drug-product process development at CureVac. She holds a PhD in Nanomedicine and Drug Delivery from Friedrich Schiller University Jena and two master's degrees from the University of Greenwich and Charles University.
