Ali Azizi | Technical Lead

Dr. Ali Azizi has extensive experience in vaccine development and clinical/analytical immunoassays. He has successfully led and managed numerous international biotechnology and vaccine projects, guiding them from pre-clinical research through to PhaseIII trials. Dr. Azizi currently serves as a Technical Lead at the Coalition for Epidemic Preparedness Innovations (CEPI), based in Washington, DC. In this role, he has played a key part in establishing the world’s largest global vaccine testing network, comprising 20 facilities across Africa, Asia, Europe, Oceania, and North America. He oversees assay development and validation for emerging pathogens, supports technology transfer across international partner laboratories, and coordinates clinical sample testing throughout the network. Ali has an extensive record of publications in leading peer-reviewed journals and has received multiple research awards in recognition of his contributions to science and global health.
