Cemal Kaya, Chief Commercial Officer, AJET

Mr. Kaya joined AJet in March 2025 and currently serves as the airline's Chief Commercial Officer. He brings more  than a decade of international aviation experience, with a career shaped by commercial leadership assignments across 
Europe, Latin America and North America.
Before joining AJet, he held a series of sales, marketing and country management positions at Turkish Airlines. His earlier assignments included Istanbul, Bilbao, Madrid and São Paulo, providing experience in both established and developing aviation markets and a strong understanding of international sales, distribution and local market dynamics.
In 2016, Mr. Kaya was appointed General Manager for Turkish Airlines' operations in Colombia and Panama, later assuming regional responsibility for Venezuela and Ecuador. During six years in Latin America, he contributed to the launch and development of new routes, expanded the airline's commercial presence, and worked closely with airports, public authorities, tourism organisations and airline partners to strengthen connectivity between Türkiye and the region.
In 2022, he moved to the United States as General Manager for Los Angeles and subsequently assumed responsibility for Denver, where he led the market opening and ongoing management of the station. Across the two strategically important North American gateways, he oversaw commercial performance, capacity growth, market development, local partnerships and stakeholder relations. He also led commercial activity targeting the cruise segment and developed business with tour operators across the U.S. market.
Throughout his career, Mr. Kaya has developed extensive experience in airline commercial strategy, international sales, market entry, route development, distribution and cross-cultural leadership. At AJet, he applies this background to support sustainable growth, expand the airline's market reach and strengthen its competitive position.
Mr. Kaya holds a bachelor's degree in Economics and completed a master's degree in International Economics, where his academic work focused on information economics and the competitive impact of electronic commerce. He speaks English, Spanish and Portuguese fluently.
