The Jiangsu Renewable Energy Industry Association was established in 2005. It is the earliest provincial-level new power and new energy industry organization in the country. It consists of industrial parks, energy development, equipment manufacturing, universities, scientific research institutions, testing and certification, finance and insurance, etc. It is a 5A-level social organization with independent legal personality and the vice-chairman unit of the National Advanced Manufacturing Cluster Alliance, the chairman unit of the Jiangsu Advanced Manufacturing Cluster Alliance, the National New Electric Power (Smart Grid) Equipment Cluster, and the Jiangsu New Electric Power Equipment Cluster, Jiangsu Provincial New Energy Equipment Cluster Development Promotion Organization, Jiangsu Provincial Smart Grid, Wind Power, and Photovoltaic Industry Chain Support Organization.
