Our solar journey starting in May 2020, when the Secretary of State granted the Cleve Hill Solar Park Development Consent Order, Yes2Ship moved high-value assets for the site - from BESS units, inverters and transformers to smaller courier items such as testing equipment for some of the most prestigious solar asset management firms behind the UKs first solar project at Nationally Significant Infrastructure Project Scale. Too often the reality for stakeholders in the energy projects industry is that costs creep as cargo dwells; POs and ETAs slip without phase-aligned call-offs; customs/T1 mis-steps stall flow; BESS is handled as “standard freight”, which creates ADR risk; sites lack off-quay buffers and local yards so cranes sit idle; and no one owns the whole programme end-to-end.

Call-offs are aligned to build phases, underpinned by ~500-container off-quay capacity (Felixstowe, Southampton, London Gateway, Grangemouth), de-vanning for acceptance-ready loads, and rural yards within one hour of sites for timed deliveries (enabled through our rural farm storage scheme – helping us win the hearts and minds of all stakeholders involved), returns and cross-site transports. For haulage and install support, we can provide heavy-lift to 500 tonnes, traffic plans and ADR/DGSA leadership for complex movements, with one of the UKs largest independent dangerous goods teams – enabling comprehensive solutions, especially needed in BESS container unit transport. For operations, our central spares hub near Heathrow handles pick/pack, with IATA and UK domestic networks supporting overnight shipping for just-in-time and emergency maintenance, without the hassle of third-party warehousing.
