Thomas has 20 years of experience in Indochina, focused on renewable energy. He is the Managing Director of Indochina Energy Partners, specializing in direct investments and advisory services in the renewable energy sector.
Indochina Energy Partners is building a 200 MWp portfolio of rooftop solar installations in ASEAN and is also negotiating several large scale DPPA’s in wind and solar.
From 2009 to 2013, Thomas was Investment Director of Anpha Capital, originating and analyzing potential investments in Renewable Energy, Real Estate and Infrastructure projects; advising the potential investment companies/projects on Financial Structuring and Corporate Finance and performing due diligence on potential investments.
Relevant experience:
— Built Indochina Energy Partners including 200 MWp of financing, with over 100 MWp of development pipeline and implementations in Vietnam, Cambodia and Myanmar.
— Worked on several wind farms implemented in Vietnam, especially on the financing of projects.
— Worked on projects in biomass, biogas, energy efficiency and in Indochina. This has typically been end-to-end design, procurement, financing and construction.
— Leading advocacy role in the development for the Direct Power Purchasing Agreement pilot program.
Thomas holds a M.Sc. in Economics and Business Administration from University of Aarhus in Denmark and Katholieke Universiteit Leuven in Belgium.
