Ms. Lindsay Umalla is the Energy Sector Leader at SNV Vietnam, where she focuses on advancing energy access and promoting sustainable energy solutions. She has over 14 years of experience in the energy sector, specializing in off-grid energy, clean cooking, and carbon finance.

Prior to joining SNV, Lindsay was the Director of Country Transitions at the Clean Cooking Alliance (CCA), where she supported enterprises, governments, and financiers to accelerate clean cooking markets and carbon financing initiatives. She also held leadership roles at VentureBuilder and Catalyst Off-Grid Advisors, where she provided strategic support to scale off-grid solar companies and advised investors and organizations on energy access solutions. Earlier in her career, she worked with the World Bank Group as an Independent Off-Grid Energy Consultant and served as Director of East Africa Operations at Angaza Design, managing Pay-As-You-Go solar solutions.

Lindsay holds a BA and MA from Stanford University.
