Olubukola Akinniyi Akinwunmi, Head Of Payments System Policy, Central Bank of Nigeria

Olubukola Akinwunmi is an Assistant Director in the Payments System Management Department of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN). He leads the team responsible for formulation of payments system policies and facilitating stakeholder consensus  on payments system development strategy in Nigeria. He participated in major reforms in the Nigerian Payments System including the implementation of the Nigeria Central Switch, Cash-less Policy, and the Payments System Vision 2020. He has authored various articles in the CBN Bullion on issues such as disruptive technologies within the financial services industry, cybersecurity and the role of payments system in financial system stability. He is a Chartered Accountant (ACA), a Certified Information System Auditor (CISA) and holds a Masters Degree in Economics.
