Sjoerd Knipping, Vice President of Product & Marketing at Kia Europe and Chief Operating Officer of Kia Connect, leads the Marketing and Product division, established in 2022 to integrate and align Kia’s electric model line-up with its marketing strategy. Knipping initially joined Kia Netherlands in 2011 before moving to Kia Europe in 2021 and assuming the role of Director for Product & COO Kia Connect, where he supported the shaping of the brand’s product strategy across the European market. Before joining Kia Europe, Knipping held various director-level positions within Kia Netherlands, where he played a key role in elevating the brand to a solid top 3 position in the Dutch market. His leadership saw the successful introduction of the award-winning Kia Niro, propelling the brand to new heights and achieving number one brand status with its fully electric derivative. Born on July 17th, 1973, in Amsterdam, Knipping holds a Master of Business Administration from the University of Maastricht. He is married and a father of three daughters.
