David Benattar, Former CSO, The Warehouse Group

David Benattar is passionate about the intersection between technological innovation, systems transformation, and climate action. David is an Oxford Said Business School EMBA student and a Rewley scholar. His upcoming book, "What Can We Do by Friday," is a concise, irreverent, and action-oriented field guide to corporate climate action.
 
David was recently Chief Sustainability Officer for The Warehouse Group, New Zealand's largest publicly listed retail group, where he pioneered large scale deployment of decarbonisation solutions in transport, supply chain, energy, finance, and consumer engagement.
 
David is a member of the Climate and Business Advisory Group advising the New Zealand government on policies and actions required to meet the country's second emissions budget. He was part of the ministerial delegation at Cop25 and Cop26. He is a trade advisor to the French Foreign Affairs Ministry.
 
Before joining The Warehouse Group in New Zealand, David founded Hyperbolic, a New York-based innovation lab servicing global brands. His work was nominated for innovation worldwide at LVMH. David's career began at Aveda, a world leader in natural beauty products.
 
David spent several years at the Earth Pledge Foundation, advocating for early-stage sustainability solutions in the building, food, apparel, and waste-to-energy sectors. His efforts have significantly influenced sustainability policies for New York City's Bloomberg administration.
