After initially working as a lawyer, she has been a consultant in the Federal Ministry for Digital and Transport since 2014, beginning in the coordination unit for noise and environmental protection. For two years she headed the ministry's secretariat of the 2020 German EU Council Presidency. Since 2021 she has been working in the unit for hydrogen and fuel cells in mobility. In particular, she was responsible for the Important Project of Common European Interest (IPCEI) Hydrogen and soon shifted the focus to the hydrogen refueling infrastructure and the establishment of a Germany-wide, EU-connected basic network of hydrogen filling stations, especially for commercial vehicles, in line with the requirements of European law (AFIR) and beyond.
