Anton Nikitin is the Chief Sustainability Officer for the city of Vilnius, the European Green Capital 2025. He has been at the forefront of driving sustainable initiatives for quite some time and is coordinating the change towards ESG goals for the city. With a career spanning 8 years within the city, he initially contributed as a cycling officer, achieving significant milestones such as establishing new cycling standards and doubling the length of cycling infrastructure within three years. Later, as the Head of the Sustainable Urban Mobility division, he played a pivotal role in addressing Sustainable Urban Mobility Plan (SUMP) challenges. For more than 3 years in the position of Chief City Engineer, Anton led the city’s infrastructural transformations and policy advancements toward a more sustainable future.
