Andrew Hoo, Director, Aruba immigration

Since April 2021, Andrew is Director of the Aruban Immigration department, which resulted in a more efficient and content immigration department. Andrew was chairman of the development commission responsible for the reinforcement of the Aruban border security (air and sea) thru local and regional inter agency cooperation, sanctioned by the Dutch government. He has also managaed to integrate the Royal Dutch Marachaussee to work side by side with the immigration authorities to boost border security on Aruba. Most recently Andrew created a netwrok platform of directors of immigration within the Kingdom of the Ducth Caribbean islands, endorsed by the ministers of justice of all the islands within the Dutch Kingdom. Andrew is responsible for showcasing Aruba within the region as the leading Caribbean tourist destination embracing seamless travel by following a series of trials using a digital identity and or Digital Travel Credentials (DTC).
