Steven Body Steven Body is the Principal at Brewongle Environmental Education Centre, bringing over 35 years of experience in outdoor education, school education, and environmental education. He holds tertiary qualifications in Science, Environmental Management, and Teaching, and is trained in high school Science, Biology, Chemistry, and PDHPE. Steven's educational journey began with a focus on outdoor education and guiding, where he gained expertise in activities such as rock climbing, canyoning, and abseiling. He transitioned into school education as a High School Science and PDHPE teacher, where he played a pivotal role in running the Duke of Edinburgh Award program, leading students on multi-day kayaking and bushwalking expeditions. An early adopter of technology, Steven served as a technology champion at his school, where he innovatively built his own interactive whiteboard before the commercial models were available. In his current role as Principal at Brewongle Environmental Education Centre, Steven is dedicated to fostering a passion for the environment and connecting students with nature and Country. He seeks to utilise technology as one way to connect students to nature, providing them with deep and meaningful learning experiences. His commitment to environmental education reflects his belief in the importance of experiential learning and stewardship of the natural world. Outside of his professional pursuits, Steven enjoys spending time with family, music, and the outdoors, further enriching his connection to the environment.
