Catherine Newington, ICT Educators' Specialist, Australian Computer Society

Catherine Newington leads The ACS’ ICT Educators program. The program supports Australian teachers to implement the Digital Technologies Curriculum. These resources target the curriculum and support content knowledge growth and lessons promote skills such as authentic learning, global connections, critical and creative thinking, collaboration and student driven learning. Catherine is a registered teacher with almost 20 years of teaching experience. ​She has over 12 years experience in the classroom including poisiotns in teaching and learning leadership. She holds a post graduate degree specialising in education technologies. ​Catherine is the co-vice president of DLTV, the Victoria subject association for digital technologies.​ When Catherine is not tinkering with tech, you’ll find her keeping fit through playing field hockey and deadlifting at her local gym.
