Anna Kinnane, Digi Tech Lead, Teacher Capability, Independent Consultant


Anna is one of the original writers of the Australian Curriculum, Digital Technologies.  She is an experienced educator and curriculum leader with 40 years’ experience working in diverse roles within local and national education systems including state and catholic sectors.  Anna has been recognised and named in Queensland State Parliament as an Advanced Queensland Community Champion for her contribution in supporting teachers to develop and strengthen their digital capabilities and professional practice. 
Anna’s recent work at Grok Academy, involved leading and managing national curriculum projects and initiatives. She has been instrumental in determining and developing resources and professional learning programs to strengthen teachers, curriculum leaders and preservice teachers’ understandings and knowledge of the Australian Curriculum, including digital literacy and AI literacy and its application across the curriculum.   Anna has also worked in the Professional Standards Team at the Queensland College of Teachers.  In her role as the Digital Strategy Manager, one of her key responsibilities was to support teachers at all career stages to collect, annotate and share evidence of practice aligned to the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers.  
Anna is an articulate and confident public speaker with strong communication skills. She is an experienced facilitator, having delivered a range of face-to-face and online professional development courses and workshops, and at national and international conferences, workshops and events.

  • By engaging with the DTT, schools are better positioned to make decisions that can strengthen their digital culture, streamline processes through innovative practices and achieve improved teaching and learning outcomes, particularly in the areas of implementing the Australian Curriculum: Digital Technologies and the Digital Literacy capability. 
  • With the assistance of AI, the DTT provides advice tailored to individual school contexts, and ultimately helps schools transition to higher levels , with respect to teaching, learning, managing and leading
