Warami. Ngaya giyara Anissa Jones. Ngaya Boorooberongal Dharug Dhiyin. Ngaya Marrengorrabirang Dharug Ngurra. Ngaya Alburygal, Wiradjuri Ngurra. Budyari Nhaady’una.  Hello. My name is Anissa Jones. I am a Boorooberongal Dharug woman. I am from Marrengorra (Richmond), on Dharug Country. I live in Albury, on Wiradjuri Country. It’s good to meet you.  I have taught in schools (P-12) and vocational institutions for over 20 years. I am now employed at the University of New South Wales (UNSW) as the Indigenous Academic Specialist for the Arts, Design and Architecture faculties, embedding Aboriginal Perspectives in Curriculum.  My work requires me to travel regularly between Dharug Country and Wiradjuri Country. I am a proud mother of three and grandmother of two, and I reside in Albury with my husband.  I completed the Master of Indigenous Languages (MILE) course in 2022 and teach Dharug Dhalang to her Community. I am undertaking a PhD on Aboriginal Policy and Perspectives in Vocational Education at the University of New South Wales (UNSW).
