Urvi Doshi, Consultant, Samadhi Ventures

Urvi partners with mission-driven organisations to design human-centred initiatives that build capability and spark lasting impact. With over a decade of experience in EdTech and education, and earlier roles in social innovation and management consulting, she now works at the intersection of learning, technology, and organisational change. She brings a systems lens and a deep belief in the power of experiential, progressive education to help learners thrive from early childhood through to adulthood. Her work is grounded in empathy, creativity, and a deep respect for human dignity and growth. Urvi believes in the power of combining human strengths with emerging technologies — using AI to enhance creativity, human connection, and critical reflection in learning and work. She explores how we can design for more meaningful, ethical, and equitable outcomes across education and work, preparing people of all ages to navigate a rapidly changing world with curiosity, compassion and confidence.

Pre-conference Workshops @ 10:00

[M5] 4 Nov (AM) - Creative storytelling with AI – without compromising privacy

This interactive two-hour workshop invites educators to dive into hands-on creativity with AI tools that prioritize data privacy.

Hour 1: Storytelling with AI video tools

Storytelling and visual media help students process, retain and communicate complex ideas. With help from AI, you can learn to scaffold this process more easily – even without advanced video-editing skills.

Step into the director’s chair and transform your lesson content into engaging visual stories. In an ideation sprint, participants will learn how to turn a single written prompt into classroom-ready footage using Veo 3. Participants will be guided on how to:

  • Design a short video that complements an upcoming lesson or unit – ranging from concept explainers and vocabulary animations to lab-safety demos and historical scene re-creations
  • Write good prompts that can be transformed into polished clips in seconds, complete with motion and sound

Hour 2: Exploring On-device AI for safe, smart support

Many AI tools rely on the cloud, but that’s not always feasible for school settings. We’ll shift the spotlight from the cloud to the classroom device, where you can:

  • Test a specialised app that runs on-device AI models for safe, secure use
  • Try out offline features such as instant image-to-text feedback, quick rubric suggestions, and real-time translation – all without uploading student data to external servers

Throughout the workshop, participants will use Samsung Galaxy AI tablets with S Pen support and explore:

  • Note Assist: to transcribe and summarise group discussions
  • Sketch to Image: to convert rough drawings into usable graphics and visual aids
  • Circle to Search: to find reference material from selected text or images

If you’re looking for safe, practical AI tools to enhance student learning, not distract from it – join us!

Participants will:

  • Create curriculum-aligned micro-films to support student understanding of lesson content
  • Deliver real-time, private student feedback using AI
  • Design an integrated lesson plan that leverages AI tools, aligns with instructional goals and addresses ethics, privacy and digital equity in a future-ready classroom environment
