Hello, my name is Derek Zaharko and I am currently the Middle School Academic Dean at Stamford American International School Singapore. My family and I have been enjoying life in Singapore for the past seven years. Prior to moving here, we spent six years in Dubai, and seven years in Kuwait, with my twenty years abroad all at International Baccalaurate schools. Positions I have held include Head of Mathematics, and Middle Years Programme coordinator, while my current role has me working across the school on logistics, facility management, data acquisition, and student learning pathways. I am looking forward to chairing the 'Lifelong Learning & Skills stream during EDUtech Asia 2024.
