Associate Professor Dr. Azidah Abu Ziden, currently serving as the Director of the Academic Excellence Division within the Department of Higher Education, Ministry of Higher Education, Malaysia, brings a wealth of expertise in Instructional Design (E-learning & M-learning), Educational Technology, ICT & Multimedia, and 21st Century Learning. Previously, she held the esteemed position of Director at the Centre for Development of Academic Excellence (CDAE), Universiti Sains Malaysia. Dr. Azidah's illustrious career is adorned with numerous accolades, including the University of Canterbury, New Zealand Research Award 2003-2006. Recognized as a National E-learning Master Trainer, she imparts her knowledge through instructional design training, e-learning methodologies, and innovative teaching approaches to educators nationwide and globally. Dr. Azidah's leadership extends to her role as President of the Association for Science and Mathematics Educators Penang (ASMEP). Notably, she clinched the prestigious Malaysia Academic Award (Teaching Award) 2017 and earned a Gold Award for Best Learning Model (Blended) at the LearnX Impact Award 2018 in Melbourne, Australia. Her recent achievements include securing the Best MOOC Award at the International E-learning Carnival (IUCEL) 2022 and clinching the 1st prize in Pitch@USM 2022. Dr. Azidah is also celebrated as an international research collaborator and keynote speaker, contributing significantly to global knowledge exchange and academic discourse.
