Caitlin Asjes serves as BD’s Senior Director for Global Public Health, the Public Affairs team who builds partnerships and promotes policies at the intersection between government, civil society, and BD priorities to advance healthcare. Prior to this role as Senior Director, Public Affairs Greater Asia, Caitlin led key initiatives in Asia aligned to both BD’s business goals and government priorities to increase patient access and address unmet health needs. Caitlin started her career at BD in 2015 as the Worldwide Associate Director, HEOR in Diagnostic Systems, where she worked with cross-functional teams to establish HEOR strategies, tools and studies around the world. Before joining BD, Caitlin was a Senior Health Economist at WG Consulting. There she planned and implemented health economic and market access strategies for products across the development lifecycle for pharmaceutical and medical device stakeholders. Before consulting, Caitlin worked in India for 4 years building large-scale public health interventions and supporting government capacity for delivering health services, working for the Clinton Foundation Health Access Initiative (CHAI) and leading the Real Medicine Foundation India. Caitlin holds a B.S. in International Politics from Georgetown University’s School of Foreign Service, and a Master of Science – Health Policy Planning and Financing - from the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE) and the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine (LSHTM).
