The Jenner Trust

Partner

The Jenner Trust is the custodian of Dr Edward Jenner’s House and Garden in South Gloucestershire, England. Jenner discovered and performed the world’s first ever vaccination on this site in 1796. We celebrate a masterpiece of human creative genius in the eradication of one of the world’s most feared diseases, smallpox that set in motion one of the most important public health initiatives ever seen – vaccination on a global scale.

The World Health Organization (WHO) declared that smallpox was globally eradicated on 8th May 1980 so the Trust has embarked on an ambitious mission to re-Jennerate this globally important location in time for the 50th anniversary of this declaration – May 8th 2030.

A Discovery that Changed the World. A Legacy that Needs you Now. Come and talk to trustees and staff on stand 552.
