OmniPulse Biosciences is a seed stage MIT spinout co-founded by Dr. Robert Langer that is advancing a pipeline of wholly-owned and partnered programs in therapeutics (pain management, cardiometabolic, endocrinology), and vaccines (the latter partnered with the Gates Foundation).

The company leverages a revolutionary platform capable of generating therapeutics and vaccines with previously unattainable, customized PK profiles with a single administration. The platform is based on pKORE™ polymer particles with a unique “shell and lid” design that can be precisely engineered to biodegrade at designated time points, releasing the drug from over a few days or months. Customized PK profiles are achieved by adjusting the magnitude and timing of individual releases within a single injection. The technology employs a proven and safe polymer poly (lactic-co-glycolic acid) (PLGA) currently in use in several FDA cleared or approved medical injectables and medical implants.

OmniPulse is headquartered in Kendall Square (Cambridge, Massachusetts), with laboratories and GMP manufacturing on site. The company is seeking funding and partnerships to rapidly advance internal programs as well as to scale manufacturing and AI-enabled design, engineering and development capabilities. The company is on track to initiate first in human trials in the next 18 months.
