KyooBe Tech is an emerging technology provider for innovative pharmaceutical manufacturing systems. Founded in 2020 as a corporate start-up of the Bausch+Ströbel group, KyooBe Tech has grown to a team of 25 motivated engineers and biotechnologists. Our technological solutions tackle manufacturing challenges in the inactivation of pathogens and the production of cell and gene therapeutics.
Our eFIT platform aims to inactivate pathogens in a liquid solution up to a depletion level of > 6 log reduction. By using low-energy electron irradiation, the genetic material is reliably destroyed. Its main applications are in vaccine production and processes ranging from selective degradation to the complete inactivation of infectious pathogens. Other potential applications address contamination control strategies including pathogen depletion in process media and blood-derived products, and even cell therapeutics. Since 2022, KyooBe Tech has successfully operated a test platform to optimize the process parameters for individual product irradiation applications.
Our small-scale Unit eFIT Lab, entering the market in 2024, is used for both, research (R&D) and small-scale manufacturing processes. It is suitable for batch sizes up to one liter. Our large-scale eFIT Pro platform addresses industrial large-scale manufacturing processes and will enter the market in 2025.
