Alga Biologics is a Contract Research Organization (CRO) specialized in the development and production of recombinant proteins using an innovative microalgae-based expression system.
We support pharmaceutical, biotech, and academic partners with tailored services for the cell line development and production (from gene synthesis to purification / QC) of complex proteins, including antibodies, glycoproteins, and bioactive peptides.
Our proprietary platform offers a robust, cost-efficient, and animal component–free alternative for the expression of proteins with post-translational modifications. We provide end-to-end solutions — from gene design and strain engineering to process optimization and pilot-scale production (until 200 liters scale).
Alga Biologics is accredited for France’s R&D tax incentive programs (CIR and CII), making us an ideal partner for innovation-driven projects in therapeutic, diagnostic, and research fields.
