  Kwee Lan Tan is the Head of the Regional Regulatory Lead Emerging Markets team at Boehringer Ingelheim International GmbH. In this role, she leads a team of Regional Regulatory Leads to drive regulatory strategies and accelerate patient access to innovative therapies across Emerging Markets. Building on her cross-functional collaboration experience in delivering Marketing Authorisation Applications  for rare diseases and oncology, she is passionate about broadening patient access beyond regulatory approval. Kwee Lan is an active speaker at international conferences, where she shares her practical experience and key lessons learned from MAA strategies, with a focus on improving patient access and strengthening alignment between regulatory requirements and market access considerations. Kwee Lan holds a degree in Biotechnology. Before her international role in Germany, she began her career in pharmacovigilance at Pfizer and Boehringer Ingelheim, and later took on a leadership role as Head of Regulatory Affairs for Malaysia and Singapore, where she actively shaped local regulatory policies and strengthened collaboration with industry associations and health authorities.
