Victoria Gemme is the Director of Policy & Regulatory Affairs at the National Organization for Rare Disorders (NORD). In this role, Victoria is responsible for crafting and implementing NORD’s rare disease policy and advocacy engagement strategy with federal regulatory bodies, specifically the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and National Institutes of Health (NIH) as well as leading NORD’s legislative and regulatory policy development as it relates to medical research and development in an effort to promote access to safe, effective diagnostics and treatments for rare disease patients. Victoria brings a decade of experience in healthcare and legislative and regulatory policy, including in the rare disease space, most recently as Assistant Research Director at Duke-Margolis Institute for Health Policy. Prior to her time at Duke-Margolis, Victoria worked for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, where she oversaw a policy portfolio covering basic science research and drug development among other topics. Victoria has a BA in Neuroscience from Vassar College, an MS in Ethics and Public Policy from Suffolk University, and an MBA from Quantic School of Business and Technology.
