Puja Joshi, MD, is a Medical Director in Clinical Development at Stoke Therapeutics, where she helps develop new treatments for rare genetic diseases. With a background in pediatric neurology and clinical research, she combines her expertise in rare disease drug development with a deep commitment to patient care. Dr. Joshi completed her Pediatric Residency at Jersey Shore University Medical Center, where she took on leadership roles with the American Academy of Pediatrics and the Public Family Health Centers. She then pursued her Neurology Fellowship at New York University Medical Center, gaining invaluable experience in specialty clinics focused on rare diseases such as genetic epilepsies and neurodevelopmental disorders. Her hands-on experience treating children with complex neurological conditions reinforced her passion for improving patient outcomes. Before joining Stoke, Dr. Joshi worked at Biogen, focusing on neuroimmunology in rare diseases and contributing to the advancement of new therapies. She later moved to Roivant Sciences, where she worked across multiple disease areas, supporting drug development programs and contributing to business diligence efforts. Dr. Joshi’s transition from clinical practice to biotech was driven by her dedication to patients and a desire to make a broader impact through the development of innovative treatments.
