The Veterinary Defence Society - VetSafe
Russell worked as a mainly small animal vet in the UK and Australia before many years in the Veterinary pharmaceutical industry, including senior roles in Practice support, Regulatory Affairs and Pharmacovigilance. He joined the Veterinary Defence Society (The VDS) in the UK in 2023 as VetSafe Manager.
VetSafe, provided by VDS Support in the UK, is a service designed to help veterinary teams improve patient safety, learn from incidents in practice, and enhance the quality of care they provide every day. Created by vets for the veterinary profession, VetSafe offers tools and resources to:
• Confidentially report incidents and reflect on what happened
• Gain insights into patterns and trends to guide improvements
• Build a culture of learning and continuous development with your team
