Rachael Mallia is a Qualified Veterinary Nurse with over 15 years of experience across General Practice, Exotics, Specialty, and Emergency care. In 2023, she was honoured as Greencross’ Team Leader of the Year, recognising her dedication to leadership and team development.
Rachael began her career in 2009 as a junior nurse in a small animal practice. In 2014, she joined the University of Melbourne’s U-Vet teaching hospital, where she discovered a passion for teaching. She soon progressed into leadership roles, leading the general practice team and overseeing hospital coordination. Following the hospital’s closure in 2022, Rachael joined Greencross Vet Hospital, advancing from nurse team leader to, specialty coordinator now to her current role as Hospital Manager. She is committed to fostering a positive and supportive team environment focused on delivering high-quality patient care, with a strong emphasis on psychological safety and continuous improvement.
