Jodi Mackinnon, Chief Executive Officer, Animal Emergency Service

Jodi has been instrumental in the growth and transformation of Animal Emergency Australia (AEA). As Co-CEO, she steers the company’s strategic direction and risk management. Jodi began her veterinary career in the 1990s as a nurse and later became a Practice Manager for 15 years. She joined Animal Emergency Service (AES) in 2007, which expanded from one emergency hospital to 15 locations under her leadership. She was named Australian Veterinary Association’s Business Manager of the Year in 2012 and 2015. Certified as an EOS Implementer in 2017, Jodi leveraged the framework to drive AEA's scalable growth. AEA’s “patients first” philosophy and Open Hospital model foster transparency and trust. Appointed Co-CEO in 2022, Jodi continues to guide AEA toward becoming Australia’s top choice for emergency veterinary care and careers.
