Jessica Mewett, Veterinary Nurse, Northfield Veterinary Clinic 
I began my veterinary nursing career in a shelter environment before starting my Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing in late 2023. While studying, I continued working in the shelter and later moved into the specialist field, refining my clinical skills. After completing a nurse placement with NVC in 2024, I officially joined the team later that year and became fully qualified and registered in 2025. Since then, I’ve continued my studies with a focus on food and nutrition through the Hills Veterinary Academy, and I currently run our Puppy Preschool program. I also coordinate and mentor our placement students which I quickly realised is something I'm deeply passionate about and truly value.  Outside of work, I love baking, travelling, staying active, playing netball, and reading. At home, I’m kept busy by my two cats, Murphy and Raven, and two dogs, Diesel and Zeus.
