Aimee Whitaker | Reigional Operations Manager / Chief Nursing Officer
Our Vet

Aimee Whitaker, Reigional Operations Manager / Chief Nursing Officer, Our Vet

I have been a part of the Our Vet team since 2017 working in clinic with the team before stepping into a Regional Managers Role with Pet stock for NSW, QLD & NZ. I started in the Veterinary Industry in 2001, working in a very busy privately owned GP Clinic with a variety of wildlife and exotics, avians and companion animals. I have successfully completed my Diplomas and obtained my degree in a Bachelor of Veterinary Technology. I have worked in General Practice clinics and Emergency focusing on Anaesthetics and Surgery and management roles focusing on clinic long term sustainability and efficiency whilst optimizing clinical standards. I am always keen to learn and expand my skills and knowledge and I remain registered with the AVNAT Registration Scheme. I have undertaken further study with the Lincoln Institute of Veterinary Business. My focus is in achieving both clinical and business success by enhancing the satisfaction, effectiveness and wellbeing of my teams, clients and patients.

More recently I have taken on a new position of Chief Nursing Officer and stepped back into Regional Operations Manager for the Our Vet Fleet in NSW, QLD & ACT, I will be responsible for overseeing the clinical and business guidance and direction for these clinics. As part of this role, I will be leading the Our Vet Veterinary Nursing Advocacy Group.

The Our Vet Veterinary Nurse advocacy group has been formed in 2025 with the aim to ensure that the Our Vet clinics continue to provide the highest standard of nursing care to their patients. In our clinics we have a nursing team with a wide range of interests and knowledge that will have the opportunity to be able to contribute this into the Our Vet Fleet. The group is made up of Nurses from across the network across multiple states. We wanted to open the opportunity for our nurses to be able to contribute to how Our Vet clinics approach clinical nursing care, skills and efficiency , having a contribution to full understanding of current legislations, to be involved in Veterinary related expos, and continuing Education.
