Mr. Huỳnh Bửu Quang is the Chief Country Officer of Deutsche Bank Vietnam, overseeing the bank’s strategy, regulatory engagement, and business operations across corporate, investment, and transaction banking. He has held this position since 2020, bringing more than 25 years of international banking experience across Vietnam, Indonesia, Singapore, Hong Kong, and the wider Asia–Pacific region.

Prior to Deutsche Bank, Quang served as Standing Vice Chairman and earlier Chief Executive Officer of Maritime Bank (MSB), where he led the bank’s transformation and growth initiatives. Before returning to Vietnam, he spent nearly two decades with HSBC, holding progressively senior leadership roles including:

– Managing Director, HSBC Indonesia, overseeing commercial banking, global payments and cash management, and trade finance;
– Regional Head of Trade and Receivables Finance – International, based in Singapore; and
– Country Head of Commercial Banking, HSBC Vietnam, where he helped shape the bank’s corporate banking franchise for nearly seven years.

His earlier experience at HSBC also includes roles in credit risk in Hong Kong and business development in Vietnam.

Quang holds an Executive MBA from the University of Hawai‘i – Shidler College of Business.
