Kana Inagaki started as industry editor covering global autos in September of 2024 after serving as Tokyo bureau chief. Before that, she was the FT’s Tokyo correspondent since 2014. Earlier in her career, she reported on Japan at the Wall Street Journal, Kyodo News and the Associated Press. She is a native of Vancouver, Canada, and earned her Master of Arts degree from the University of Chicago.
