Alex Beckett is the portfolio holder for Highways and Transport at Cambridgeshire County Council. Elected for Queen Ediths Division in 2021, Alex is an ardent advocate for active/sustainable travel and played a pivotal role in the creation of the Active Travel Centre for Excellence at Cambridgeshire County Council.   With Computer Science degrees from the University of Colorado and the University of East Anglia, Alex has a diverse background centred around Technology and Photography. He started his career rolling out the Security Development Lifecycle for Citrix Systems and more recently is regularly voted one of the top wedding photographers in the country. His unique photography editing software is currently used by over 10,000 professional photographers worldwide.
